‘The price of our dreams’
Till my eyes can see, I find people not comfortable with the job at hand. They either rant at what they are going through or have something to say about the misdeeds of their bosses.
What’s going on? Why people are so unhappy? Everybody seems to be going through the motions & when it comes to feedback they vent their anger to their stars & play their best game- Blame Game.
If people are so tired of their job, then it’s time they should quit.
‘Easier said than done’. People have their own insecurities & circumstances that don’t allow them to pursue the life of their choice.
Dreams don’t come cheap. They are expensive. They make people do ‘extra ordinary’ things. Probably that’s why they come with a healthy price tag on them.
What’s the price- well few have to sacrifice their monthly income that might jeopardize their family’s future. Few have expectations to meet. Some can’t simply do that since they have status to maintain while a few are not educated enough to fulfill their desires. Poor fellows!!!
It seems every dream comes with a price & sacrifice attached to it. People forgo their most lovable families to earn more. Students sacrifice their best days to garner a future for them. Fathers sacrifice their child’s childhood. All in pursuit of happiness that they expect the future holds for them.
I don’t have numbers & data to support how many of them get what they want for what they are investing in. But probably life is about living in the hope. Hope for a better tomorrow.
Don’t you think, going for that ultimate tomorrow is snatching our present? Would anybody complain, if you miss that extra pound & see smile on your child’s face when he sees you early at home?
Would anybody complain, if a student misses an exam to make it to his mom’s birthday?
Those moments are priceless.
But if we can make our present better, is there anything to worry about future? Well may be my banter don’t sound practical.
But, if going by my logic, you are focusing on making your present better (happier I meant). Then you add on these moments or days to life & you have a perfect life to ponder when you are taking your last breath.
Maybe, people start to say, a psycho is talking but somewhere my logic makes sense.
At the end, I still have to say- all this is because of our expensive dreams that make us unhappy in our present life.
But maybe the price of dreams far outweighs the happiness in small moments. I leave this question upon you to decide. Don’t forget to answer. Smile….:)
