A letter to my readers…Happy reading
I call myself a creative person. There are two reasons for doing it. I am a budding writer though I don’t write for a living; previously I used to do it. Secondly, this call psychologically prepares me and constantly yells in my ears that I need to be creative while writing.
Well, I was reading Autin Kleon’s blog not his book about ‘sharing your work’ without fail so, I got inspired and decided to write a blogpost about how I work and how ideas stumble to me. I plan to be fiercely honest with this.
To start my day, I read a lot. I try to read a lot. Most writers rather successful writers read a lot. I don’t do this because most writers do it. I do this to increase my knowledge and make me accustomed to the outside world. It feels now I can write though it may be completely different from what I have read.
I think I can’t grow without any feedback. Though, my blog following is not much nor do I use any analytics to measure that but still that’s my guess work. I have started marketing it but I am pretty amateur at it.
About ideas right? Reading provides me with perfect platform to use my own analytics about a topic and I add on to the point and what my mind think about it. I genuinely think my writing is shallow but that’s ok.
James Altucher says “in order to be a writer you need to churn out 3000 words daily”. He means in whatever you plan to become, you have to put in the hard yards but I don’t get the time but that’s an excuse I plan to become better at writing but somehow I don’t. I would do it.
My writing has improved over the years; newspapers, editorials, articles, blogs, books etc. have provide with great knowledge that I can share and write a post worth 500 words approximately.
Ideas come to me via books, blogs, internet, newspapers, magazines etc. My favorite topic of writing is motivational, behavioral sciences, psychological, self help etc.
I plan to write a book which I haven’t started as yet. I will one day. God knows when.
For the time being I will keep you posted everyday on this space. Let me help to become better with your feedback. Hope I will become better someday.
